The Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Richard Alston, and the Minister for Education, Training and Youth Affairs, Dr David Kemp welcomed the launch of the IT Skills Hub in Melbourne today(18/5/01).

"The IT Skills Hub is a unique initiative that brings together large and small IT&T businesses with education and training providers to ensure that current and future employees in the sector are offered the most up to date and industry relevant training," said Dr Kemp.

The Skills Hub grows out of the IT&T Skills Exchange, a jointly funded Government-industry initiative created last year to address the issue of the skills shortage.
