Internet Industry Association (IIA) Releases Foundation Policy Roadmap for the Information Economy

The Internet Industry Association fired the opening shot of its online election campaign with the official media launch of the initiative at the National Press Club in Canberra on Friday.

IIA Chairman Patrick Fair outlined the purpose of the campaign and the unique assets the IIA has at its disposal to make the campaign a success. "We have two key assets at our disposal - the ability to reach millions of votes, and a membership who is as passionate about the issues as we are. In this election, any political party which ignores the importance of the internet to Australia's future will do so at its own peril. Key political issues including economic management, health, education and tax are all inextricably linked to a successful online economy," Mr Fair said.
