The Customer Access Network (CAN) Demonstrations Program will provide financial support for the development of alternative CAN telecommunications infrastructure in approximately 5 locations or demonstration sites in rural, regional and remote Victoria (henceforth regional Victoria).

The CAN Demonstrations Program is part of the Government's Regional Connections policy.

The objective of the Program is to gather and disseminate information on the technical and financial viability, and sustainability of alternative CAN infrastructures in regional Victoria. Successful applicants will be required to provide such information to the Government as agreed, intended for public release.
