Tasmanian's electricity retailer Aurora is on the brink of becoming a broadband telecommunications supplier.
Tasmanian's electricity retailer Aurora is on the brink of becoming a broadband telecommunications supplier.
The Government-owned company has plans to use existing power line cables to connect users to broadband.
Aurora believes there is no need for fibre optic cables, or satellites, with the infrastructure for broadband access available in the form of power lines.
